A Michigan native, Craig joined the United States Air Force in 1979. Following Basic training, he attended advanced school as a Law Enforcement Specialist and was assigned to Grand Forks AFB, ND and later to Hellenikon AB Athens Greece.

Craig was recruited to the Office of Special Investigations, (OSI) and attended their academy in Washington DC in 1983. Graduating as a Special Agent, Craig was assigned to Scott AFB, IL, and in 1985 was reassigned back to Washington DC, to become the Air Force's only full-time undercover agent. After an 18 month tour of duty, Craig was reassigned to Andrews AFB, MD (Now Joint Base Andrews), where in addition to his investigative duties, he provided protective service operational support for various Heads of State and other high-ranking dignitaries.

Craig completed his second service obligation and received an honorable discharge, in order that he could pursue his business interests.

However, in 2001, Craig rejoined the OSI by serving with the Air Force Reserves. In September he was ordered to Washington DC, and was there for the aftermath of the Pentagon attack.

In 2003 Craig was mobilized and ordered to active duty for Operation Iraqi Freedom, and served as a supervisory agent at the OSI Command Center "Global Watch". Following his mobilization period, Craig returned to Reserve Status, where he continues to serve as the Reserve Supervisor at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ.

Craig began his business career in 1989 by founding Designs Plus, a gift and engraving store. His business began with literally nothing, and Craig worked through the challenges and obstacles many entrepreneurs experience and is now celebrating 26 years in business. (Designs Plus is located at 644 St. Clair, Jackson, MI - Across from Target on West Ave. - Where you will find his amazing wife of 18 years Debbie working the store).

Craig has earned a Juris Doctor, Baccalaureate, and three Associate degrees.

- Juris Doctor, Thomas M. Cooley Law School, May 2009

- Bachelor of Arts, Criminal Justice, Siena Heights University, December 2001

- Associate in Applied Science, Law Enforcement, Jackson Community College, 2001

- Associate in Applied Science, Corrections, Jackson Community College, 2002

- Associate in Applied Science, Community College of the Air Force, December 2010

While attending Jackson Community College, Craig was elected as President of the local chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (National Honor Society).

From his initial enrollment at JCC, to his graduation with Siena Heights University, Craig managed to graduate with two associates and a Baccalaureate in just two-and-a-half years, maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA. This is evidence of how Craig is a quick study and can retain and apply the material at hand.

Craig and his wife Debbie of 18 years are your neighbors, living most of that time in the fourth ward. "While we were not blessed with children, we enjoy the company of our spirited rescue-adoption dogs Cooley and Buddy.
